As fresh and inspiring as the name suggests, owners Leigh Atherton and David Watt, have designed Zest with a simple, but posh interior and a lively open kitchen to serve up “Modern Canadian Cuisine”.   Chef Anthony Greco sources fresh, local produce at the Fonthill Market Thursday nights and local meats from Cumbrae Farms.

For lunch, Korean Beef Lettuce wraps are tastefully messy. PEI mussels, calamari (served with Sriracha, one of a few welcome Asian influences on the menu), and a daily fish plate satisfies the sea-lovers. For dinner, local lamb-chops with spinach, brown butter and mint keeps the Fonthill crowd smiling over a Baco about their neighbourhood luck. Service is polished.  It’s no surprise T.O. Life frequents this restaurant often to review.

Lunch from $13-16.  Dinner from $26.
