Welland Cafe


Recommended by chefs Michael and Anna Olson as a fine way to start a Saturday in Niagara, the Welland Cafe serves up everything from standard two eggs with ham to Mexican Huevos Rancheros. With a home country-kitchen meets cafeteria style interior, the Cafe bustles with a diverse clientele, eggs serving as the great connector across the socio-economic divide.

Cheerful servers engage with their tables and make the rounds with a hot pot of coffee offering old-school effective service. In addition to homemade chilli and hamburgers, owner Belinda -having created this cafe out of a former pawn shop- pays homage to her homeland; her Mexican dishes are known the region over for being tasty, fresh, and served with a side of homemade hot-sauce.

There chicken burrito with home made hot sauce is incredible. Not to mention the staff at the Welland Cafe are incredibly friendly; they even have kids books if you bring the little ones! How thoughtful is that?!

Just a great local place in the heart of pizza-town!
