Quaint is as quaint does. Ryan Hegedus, operator/manager of this downtown Welland gem has spun a spell with her eclectic, colorful charm and oh-so-yummy baked goodies. Assorted scones, brownies, cupcakes of all varieties and house-made macaroons dazzle the eye in glimmering glass cases.
Catering not only to taste, the cafe specializes in allergy aware options (especially Fridays and Saturdays) and is one hundred percent peanut and tree nut free and provides options of; gluten, dairy, egg, soy, sesame, sugar, corn free. Everything is made in-house, except for the bread, which also comes in gluten-free options. The mainly soup and sandwich menu always features vegan, gluten-free options. Can’t find what you’re looking for, order exactly what you want ahead.
The cafe, although tiny, is full of Victorian detailing and woodwork, and is conveniently located alongside a really cool vintage shop and a hair salon. Round-bellied mamas-to-be waddle on across the street for their sweet fix after a rejuvenating appointment at Renaissance Midwifery.
