An airy and bright creative space with a de-lish selection of locally sourced items, owner Laurie Didyk-Mindorff, has created a bustling coffee-house, community hub. Cute hubby’s taking a break from the honey-do list sit next to lap-toppers wearing thick glasses, and little boys, lounging on the couch, try to catch a swing of a ponytail from the giggling girls.
The open sign stays on late, and the menu is healthy, light and local. Curried quinoa salad, quiche and paninis, made with GF breads from Suzie’s Gluten Free Kitchen, make a perfect light lunch to pair with an organic Terra Tea, or an espresso from Coffeecology. Locke St. Bakery breads, muffins and take-out foods are good to grab-and-go along the cafeteria bar. Check the community board for zumba, or the chalkboard for live music; either option deserving of a celebratory pint of local craft brew.
