The emphasis here is on hospitality, humbleness and home-made English comfort Food. Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, fresh scones with Devonshire cream is served between 1 and 4 pm (call to reserve 24 hours in advance) and a large selection of loose leaf and British import tea is on offer. Bangers and mash, fish and chips, special Sunday roast beef dinner and sticky toffee pudding for dessert; a trip to this locally-favoured tea room feels like going to Grandma’s in all the best ways.
