NOMAD at Hinterbrook

Hinterbrook Winery is now the NOMAD, and the NOMAD is you.  A truly unique artist gallery-type space is the tension-inducing opener for a creative experience where you are interpreting the wine.  As with art, your interpretation of the wine is a valued component of the experience of the wine itself.  Visitors are invited to share their stories and even create labels with drawings or paintings, for which a royalty is paid out for bottles sold.  The downloadable template is on their website.

The wines made here are premium wines, grapes are hand-picked, hand-sorted and gravity fed on one level.  The Nickel family, owners of this winery, have a serious commitment to the environment, using a 1000 square foot solar panel, geothermal heating and cooling, rainwater collection for winemaking process use, and even implemented a sanitation system that doesn’t require chemicals.

Winemaker Natalie Spythowsky’s vintages receive notoriety, winning over  38 prestigious wine awards.
