Now a three-generation family business, the Minor family has been fishing since the 1950’s. The fishing fleet goes out daily bringing in the freshest Lake Erie perch and pickerel and the locals can’t get enough. Situated along historic West St. with a view of the Welland Canal, Minor’s offers a selection of made-to-order fish, as well as, fresh fillets to cook at home.
The fresh catch, and other imported varieties of fish and seafood, are battered (in their secret recipe) and deep-fried for a delicious meal on a plate, or on a bun. The Lake Erie combo highlights the exceptional quality of fresh perch and pickerel; three pieces of each, fries, coleslaw, bread and sauce. Once you try the perch, its moist, soft texture and sweet flavour will have you hooked (pun intended). Calamari, served with seafood sauce, is a go-to choice for tired parents on warm nights before heading to HH. Knoll to catch a summer swing at the park. A super casual fenced-in patio picnic area alongside the restaurant fills up on weekends.
