Set in yet another beautiful historic building in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, Kurtz’s Culinary Foods, brings orchard grown products to urban farm-to-table buyers. The store is loaded with free samples of delicious products and features local and imported; preserves, jams, syrups, antipastos, spices, culinary equipment and cookbooks.
Kurtz’ Orchards and Marketplace produces much of the products in the store. Their blueberry, blackberry sauce is refreshing on thin crepes, or served warm over Hagen Daas vanilla-bean ice cream. Their distribution material includes a postcard with a recipe for Artichoke Spinach Flatbread made with Kurtz Artichoke Spinach Tapenade, by Lynn Ogryzlo, ‘Niagara Cooks’ author, and winner of The Best Local Food Cookbook in Canada award.
