What happens when you take a smart educated Greek woman and move her to Canada with her entrepreneur husband?  They start a chain of donut shops before it even becomes ‘the thing’ to do.

A relic from the pre-Tim Hortons era, IDEAL Donut is keepin’ it real, making fresh donuts from scratch, (crullers are amazing), and grinding 100% Columbian beans for your brew.  In the 1980’s, Vasso Nicolaides and her late husband owned three shops in NF, Fort Erie and St. Catharines.  Now, she’s going alone, with only the Linwell plaza location remaining, she gets a little help from her friends, and her cute grandson Jayden, who is so proud to show off his grandma’s light-filled shop.

Light lunches, all-day breakfast, and if you’re really nice, ask Vasso for a real Turkish Coffee.
