El Gastronomo Vagabundo

This truck is hot.  Beloved by locals and Niagaraphiles who follow this truck from wineries to concerts, to events like FoodTruckEats, El Gastro, as it is affectionately known by thousands of gastro-groupies, serves up gourmet global street food to line-ups of hipsters, kid-lets and bureaucrats alike. Largely credited with upping the food scene in Niagara, they have become more than Councillor Siscoe ‘s sweethearts, (who recently approved El Gastro for a roaming vendors license).

Taking Toronto and Niagara by storm, owners Tamara Jensen and Adam Hynam-Smith, offer colourful Aussie vocabulary and outstanding gourmet street fare, tweeting their way to line-ups for good reason.  The food is almost fanatically fantastic.  The chicken tostada with avocado tastes like the streets of Thailand and folks line up well after dark for deep fried banana fritters. Find & follow.

Hello Adam and Tamara

When we met at the Australian wine event, where I was serving wine, you mentioned that you would soon have a cookbook in print. I thought it was to be called “Curbside.” I have not seen it on Are you still working on it?
