This gourmet food production warehouse is tucked away in the industrial district off Elm St. in Port Colborne, but it’s far from being out-of-sight-out-of-mind. Mario De Luca and his team prepare homemade Italian dishes, which are packaged and frozen for you to take home and heat for a gourmet meal.
A selection of pasta dishes, meatballs, sauce, fresh egg noodle pasta and soups are offered. The eggplant parmigiana is worth every penny. The lasagna is a perennial favourite, which combines fresh, sweet marinara and layer upon layer of thin, oh-so-soft, homemade noodles. In the small adjoining bistro, you can eat-in thin crust pizza and wings, rivalling the best found anywhere ‘over the river’. Call in to order ahead and bring home fresh hot lasagna, turning a late Friday-night cottage arrival with the family butter-side up.
