At the end of a long line of vines, overlooking a view of the forest stands Coyote’s Run – a casual farmhouse-style winery, established by Jeff and Patti Aubry.
Focusing on their signature terroir, the wine tasting bar features two vessels filled with red and black earth. From the Red Paw vineyard comes 450 million year old soil, infertile, yet rich in iron, infusing wine with fruit forward notes and a delicate, refreshing palate. The Black Paw vineyard, merely 15, 000 years old, produces wines with a remarkable contrast; deep, rich, and prominent with smoke and earth characteristics. Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Gris come from these vineyards, but Coyote’s Run also offers a full portfolio, including Chardonnay, Gewurtz, Meritage and Ice-wine.
Don’t feel like driving? A “Six pack” can be delivered to the GTA. Choose this option however and you’ll miss sitting in the outdoor pavilion and guessing the route that the Coyote’s run.
