Cave Springs and its suite of beautiful properties is a Niagara stalwart; one of the first to define the wine-country weekend. One of the most legendary wineries of the region, producing vitis vinifera grapes on its hillside location for over 20 years, the historic cement block building that houses the winery (circa 1871) largely defines the country village of Jordan.
Today, veteran winemaker Angelo Pavan leads production in the ‘house that Riesling built’ with an extensive white portfolio. Wine Spectator particularly recognizes the ’08 Riesling CSV, the ’09 Riesling, and the ’08 Riesling Icewine. Across the hall is On the Twenty, an award-winning, farm-to-table, 4-diamond restaurant overlooking the Niagara escarpment, and across the narrow road is the Inn on the Twenty and Spa.
