The family picture rests on a window overlooking the production room, the Dyck family, are proud to share their family’s history. Owning the property since 1950, originally for growing peaches, later becoming one of the largest producers of grapes in the area. Only about 10-15% of their grapes are used for making their own wines.
Winemaker, Steve Byfield, passionate and naturally talented, started out believe it or not, as an amateur until he caught the attention of Southbrook Winery. He quickly moved up the roles from Cellar Assistant to Winemaker at Cattail Creek, and is now heading up his own virtual winery, Nyarai.
Quality wines for reasonable prices and a down-home-on-the-range feel make this winery a relaxed getaway, perfect for spending time with one of their picnic baskets in the vineyard.
