Antica Pizzeria & Ristorante

Wood-fired, gourmet pizzas are baked in front on your eyes in a wall-sized brick oven.  Standing 30 years strong on the Clifton Hill drag, the modern, sophisticated interior, complete with glassed-in wine storage, artwork, exposed brick and timber beams, belies the restaurant’s humble beginnings, as an 88 seater restaurant with red and white checkered table-cloths.

John and Dora Mascia, and now their four sons, run this infamous NF pizzeria whose reputation holds strong for locals and newbies alike.  Even in retirement, Dora rolls out the dough and sets the toppings, as her husband, (the firekeeper), John, carefully looks in on the pizza.

The Calabrese, with asiago, olives, and spicy cured sausage will win your heart, in whole wheat, or white crust.
