Agape Valley Sugar Bush

A visit to Niagara’s maple syrup bushes is an absolute must for any Niagara winter itinerary.  The best time to visit Agape is during March break when the 148 acres of pristine, forested, Effingham landscape are bustling with families taking tours and eating stacks of pancake dripping in one of nature’s best sugars.

Agape boasts great hiking trails, where a network of lines tapped to the maple trees run the sap to the reverse osmosis machine in the processing room.  All of this is explained during free tours of the property, where you can also learn about the history of maple syrup.  Maple syrup (light, medium and amber), as well as honey harvested from the farms bee-hives, lure purchasers into the sugar shack. The pavilion offers excellent breakfasts.

Agape, meaning Christ’s deep love, is a not-for-profit farm. All proceeds fund the property and a Christian summer kids camp.
Breakfast from $5-10.  Syrup $19 for 1 Litre.

I have a friend coming from the US in September for her first visit to Canada. She is looking forward to purchasing Maple syrup and I am inquiring as to whether or not you sell maple products during the rest of the year. If so could you provide me with a price list please.
Thank you for your kind attention
Sincerely,
Nancy Crouse

Good morning,

I am having a winter Carnival Day at Winger Public School and would like to know if you would be able to come to our school and host a demonstration of how to make Maple Taffy in the snow. (How you pour hot syrup onto the snow and use a spoon/stick to twist it into maple taffy.) We got the idea from McKay School who are hosting you in February. The Day we had in mind was Friday March 2nd from 12:00-1:00pm. Please contact me at 905-899-3821 to let me know if this is possible and how much it would cost for you to come to our school. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter.

Sincerely,

Carole Anne Jones
