From the backyard of wine country, this bistro offers a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, serving up ‘decadent comfort food’ -rich dishes with upscale ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. Wine is of course local, and to make the point, corkage is free for any one Lincoln bottle – making this a most perfect pick-me-up after a hard day of savouring Niagara wines.
This clever 40 seat-er bistro, doesn’t take reso’s, but walk-ins are always welcome at the community table; a 1o foot- gorgeous-harvest table that seats 14. You’ll likely recognize your dining companions as folks who’ve been taking the rounds at the wineries with you, and on a lucky chance you may find yourself dining with one of the winemakers themselves.
Order your classic bistro fare at the take-out window; mussels of the day, steak and fries, duck leg confit, or the neighbourhood favorite Bistro Poutine, with hand cut Yukon Golds, topped with duck confit, aged cheddar and house-made fois gras sauce. The Montrealers at the table will be most impressed.
