Technically it’s in Fenwick, but on the border of Wainfleet, the 2 x 4 will always be a ‘Fleeter’ to the Wainfleet crowd. On a ‘busy’ crossway in Wainfleet, this is where rural locals come to ‘chew the fat’ and travellers driving through can come to get a hot, fast meal. With country music in the air, the crowd of farmers and truckers wear jeans and dusty old ball-caps and order up the Rueben sandwich; house-made corned-beef sliced thick and served piping hot with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing, coleslaw and fries on the side. Their breakfast is a good one, and served all day. Josh Minor owns this place and mom serves up both the food and the home-made milkshakes.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner from $6-10.
