Being a Canadian in Southwestern Ontario, we are very accustomed (yet still hold every right to complain) to the changing seasons. Over the last couple of years I’ve had a warm welcome to each season with the Handmade Market.
Just got back from the Winter Market and I am inspired. Removing the layers of wool & pouring myself some hot chocolate. It was the first snow in Niagara today.
First Snow = hot chocolate
Who am I kidding? There is no hot chocolate in my baileys.
Oh yes, Handmade Market…
Handmade is held at a different winery each time, revisiting some favourites from time to time such as 13th Street Winery & The Good Earth. The winter market this year is happening @ Fielding Estate Winery.
Local Food Trucks have recently made their way over…and we are pleased as punch.
Here’s what I took home…
Monique Mulder-Wallace is incredibly talented (spoons). She leads pottery classes that I have wanted to take for quite awhile (listed on her site).
I’m a sucker for pottery.
Look at that Shed Pottery, wrapped up all pretty. I am in love with the couple that are responsible for this beautiful display of functional art.
Wicked Shortbread has been a seasonal staple.
Holy yum, Batman.
Shop local, friends.
