Graze the Bench

Beamsville Bench lovers grazed, sippped and swayed to the music June 9 / 10, 2012 at Graze the Bench, an Aussie-inspired import event created by Meg McGrath from Hidden Bench Winery.

Graze the Bench celebrates the distinctness of the Beamsville Bench appellation- a great way to kick off the season. Grazers enjoyed a full day / full weekend of great food, wine and music at seven participating venues, each showcasing two wines and light fare. This year’s lineup included Peninsula Ridge, Rosewood Estates, Thirty Bench, Angels Gate, Organized Crime, Fielding Estate and Hidden Bench.

Each event offered a unique tasting experience, where live music set the atmosphere for the party. Patrick Engels Fish Taco paired with 2010 Estate Riesling was fun, fresh and full of flavor. Also a highlight, the Thai inspired quinoa with house-made peanut sauce, while listening to the smooth jazz en Francais of Le Trio Parisian. Juliet’s voice is a real treat, not to be missed if you have the chance.

$25 VIP entry passport got you a commemorative crystal glass, a glass of wine and light fare at the participating winery of your choice. Additional food and wine pairings for $7
